Am I a current NSHPCA member?

Please contact us at conference@nshpca.ca to discuss your current sponsorship status.

Is parking provided at the conference?

Yes. Parking at the hotel will be available on a complimentary basis. Here are the details for on-site parking options:

At the back of the Hotel, adjacent to the Wendy’s drive-thru, is the entrance to the following.

1. Underground Parking (open garage door) – with direct access to elevators

2. Level 2 & 3 Parkade – Follow the exit signages leading to the pedway.

3. Ground-level parking area behind Comfort Hotel – for big trucks

Just a friendly reminder, please avoid parking in the area between Wendy's and Tim Horton's, as cars parked there may be towed away.

If all the spaces above are occupied, please make use of the off-site parking options.

Is there a hotel discount for out-of-town or province attendees?

Yes. The Halifax Tower Hotel is offering a 20% room discount to conference attendees. You must book your reservation before May 7, 2025. Please call (902) 444-4370 and reference NSHPCA Conference 2025 to secure your discount. 

Does the conference accept special dietary requests?

Yes. Please contact us after you purchase your ticket at conference@nshpca.ca to discuss your request. 

Are purchased tickets eligible for a charitable tax receipt?

Is the conference in-person, virtual, or hybrid?

The 2025 conference is a hybrid event and will be held at the Halifax Tower Hotel and Conference Centre. Instructions for accessing the event online will be provided to all virtual attendees. If you do not receive an email by May 1, 2025, please contact us at conference@nshpca.ca.

What is the theme of the NSHPCA Conference 2025?

The theme for this year’s conference is, The Cultural Implications of Death, Dying, and Grief.

Who can attend the conference?

The conference is open to healthcare professionals, caregivers, nonprofit leaders, policymakers, researchers, and anyone interested in grief, hospice, palliative care, and related fields.
